Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 800 g flour (wheat flour, type 1050)
  • 200 g rye meal, whole grain, fine
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp anise, ground
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 550 ml milk or water
  • 1 cube of yeast

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Heat the milk (water) and dissolve the yeast and honey in it. Combine the flour, salt, anise, and softened butter in the mixing bowl, add the liquid, and knead thoroughly. Rest the dough for 20 minutes. Knead well again and pour into a loaf pan. Rest the dough for 20 minutes. Bake for 60 minutes at 160°C (fan oven).
