Indian spiced tea

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 cups water
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp fennel seeds
  • 4 tsp black tea
  • 8 tsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

from Punjab

Bring the water and all the spices to a boil, then add the black tea in the tea infuser and let it boil for 2 minutes. Remove the tea. Add the sugar and milk, do not boil, just let it steep for a while, and pour through a sieve into a nice teapot.
