Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 500 g pork strips
  • 125 g bacon cubes
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pack of dumpling dough, half and half, 750 g
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 100 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 30 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

a Bavarian dish

Peel and finely dice the onion. Trim the mushrooms and halve them if desired. Heat the oil in a large, ovenproof pan. Add the minced meat and fry. Add the onion, mushrooms, and bacon and fry briefly. Mix the cream with the cornstarch and egg and pour over the minced meat. Spread the dumpling batter over the minced meat. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese, top with butter flakes, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) or 160°C (220°F) for about 30 minutes. Serve garnished with oregano, if desired. Approx. 767 kcal per serving.
