Semolina dumplings with preserved fruit

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 piece(s) butter
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • n. B. Compote or fruits from the can

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil, add a pinch of salt and 2-3 tablespoons of sugar, and whisk in about 1 cup of semolina. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and let it swell, covered, for about 10 minutes. Heat a large knob of butter in a pan until foamy, then add 3-4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and a pinch of salt. Brown the crumbs until light brown. Then scoop out the semolina dumplings with a large spoon and toss them in the pan with the crumbs. Serve with compote or canned fruit.
