Isa's simple wholemeal bread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour (wholemeal)
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 150 ml water, cold, maybe a little less

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 10 minutes

with cold yeast fermentation, mini loaf

Combine flour and salt in a bowl and mix. Mix the dry yeast with the cold water and add to the flour. Stir briefly, then knead thoroughly with your hands for a few minutes. Form a small loaf, cover, and let rise in the bowl in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Place the loaf in a small loaf pan or on a baking sheet. Slash the surface lightly with a knife, brush with water, and bake in a preheated oven at 225 degrees Celsius for about 45-55 minutes, until the crust turns dark brown. My bread turned out beautifully fine-pored with a crispy crust and tasted delicious without any yeasty taste.
