Bring the milk and vanilla sugar to a boil. Whisk the egg yolks with a little milk, cornstarch, and sugar. Stir the mixture into the boiling milk. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Whisk the hot mixture into the beaten egg whites. Caution: Risk of curdling! Therefore, be sure to whisk the mixture into the beaten egg whites. This simple and quick vanilla sauce goes well with desserts, ice cream, and fruit.
