Baked spinach with smoked salmon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g spinach, fresh
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 200 g smoked salmon slices
  • 3 slices of cheese
  • oil
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Dice the onion and garlic. Wash the spinach thoroughly and trim off any tough stems. Dry the spinach in a salad spinner. Heat the oil in a medium-sized saucepan and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the spinach and simmer gently with the lid on for about 10 minutes until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Transfer the spinach to a small baking dish and top with the smoked salmon. Finally, sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the oven at 180°C until the cheese reaches your preferred shade of brown.
