Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 g matjes fillet(s), in oil
  • 1 m.-sized apple
  • 2 gherkins
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 30 g capers
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 50 ml condensed milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

Drain the fish, cut into small cubes, and place in a large bowl. Peel and core the apples. Cut the apples, onion, and cucumber into very small cubes and add. Sprinkle with capers, sour cream, and condensed milk. Mix everything well. Cover and let the salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least four hours, preferably overnight. Side dishes: jacket potatoes or baguette.
