Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 4 chicken legs
- 2 bulbs of garlic
- 1 cup(s) olive oil , for roasting pan
- 2 tbsp olive oil, for rubbing the chicken thighs
- some salt
- some cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp herbs de Provence
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Remove the garlic cloves from the bulb. Skin the chicken thighs and rub them with olive oil. Then, don’t be too timid, sprinkle them with salt and cayenne pepper (it still won’t be spicy afterward!). Rub them again with olive oil so that the spices combine with the oil. Heat olive oil in a large casserole dish and sear the chicken thighs on both sides. Add the unpeeled garlic cloves to the meat and sprinkle with the Herbes de Provence. Close the dish tightly (place aluminum foil between the lid and the pot if necessary) and place it in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F). Cooking time, depending on the size of the chicken thighs, is between 50 minutes and 1 1/2 hours. Serve with baguette (squeeze the garlic out of the cloves and spread it on the baguette!).
