Toast with blue cheese and mushrooms

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large slices of whole-grain toast
  • 2 large slices of blue cheese
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), red
  • 1 m.-large mushroom, brown
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • e.g. chili flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

from the sandwich toaster

Top two slices of toast with a slice of blue cheese each. Slice the red onion into thin rings and arrange them on the already filled slices of toast. Slice the mushrooms and arrange them on top of the onions. Season with salt and pepper, and add a pinch of chili flakes if desired. Spread a teaspoon of honey on each of the other two slices and fold them together with the filled toast. Toast in a contact grill or sandwich toaster until crispy. Serve with red wine or a good dip, such as garlic cream.
