Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg cherry(s), yellow sweet cherries
  • 1 kg nectarine(s)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 lemon(s)

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 49 minutes

Wash and pit the yellow cherries. Peel the nectarines (this works best if you scald them with hot water), remove the stones, and cut into pieces. Peel, core, and slice the lemon. Puree the cherries, nectarines, and lemon together with the gelling sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil the mixture for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Immediately pour the hot jam into boiled jars, cover tightly with the lids, and then turn upside down for five minutes. This makes about 6 medium-sized jars.
