Breaded mozzarella slices

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 package of mozzarella
  • some breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying
  • some flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut the mozzarella into relatively thin slices. Combine the flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs in three separate deep bowls. Whisk the eggs and season with salt and pepper to taste. Then coat the mozzarella slices first in flour, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs, until they are as evenly coated as possible. Briefly fry the breaded slices in a pan with a little hot oil on both sides until they are golden brown but the cheese is not melting. Tip: It also tastes great if you add a few drops of lemon juice to the mozzarella slices afterward.
