also called stuffed meat cakes

Place the minced meat in a bowl. Place the bread roll in a bowl filled with water and wait until it has absorbed the water. Add the eggs to the minced meat. Finely dice the onion and garlic, finely chop the herbs, squeeze the water out of the bread roll, tear it into pieces, and add everything to the minced meat. Season to taste with your choice of spices. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands. Using a tablespoon, place a small amount of the minced meat mixture onto a large cutting board; I made about 15 portions. Then, using your fingers, make a small indentation in each one, fill the indentation with cream cheese using a teaspoon, close the meat mixture over it, shape into small balls, and flatten slightly. Fry in batches in hot oil and keep warm in the oven until all the balls are ready.
