Sour cherry and banana jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g sour cherries, pitted
  • 500 g banana(s), approx. 3 – 4 pieces
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 3:1
  • 1 tsp. clove powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 25 minutes

Wash and pit the sour cherries. Peel the bananas and cut them into 3 cm pieces. Add all the other ingredients, let them steep for about 3 hours, and then simmer for 4 minutes. Do not mash the bananas; they will remain in small pieces. Then pour everything into hot, cleaned twist-off jars and let cool. The sweetness of the bananas and the tartness of the cherries harmonize well together.
