Potato and meat casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 400 g pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • ½ bunch of dill
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Peel and slice the potatoes. Boil in salted water for 10 minutes. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish. Season the meat with salt and pepper. Spread half of the garlic over the meat. Spread the onion rings over the meat. Spread 1/3 of the mayonnaise over the onions. Then add a layer of the precooked potatoes. Add the other half of the garlic and another 1/3 of the mayonnaise to the potatoes. Next, spread the remaining potato slices, which are then spread with the remaining mayonnaise, on top. Place the baking dish in the hot oven for 25 minutes. When the time is up, sprinkle with cheese and return it to the oven for another 15 minutes.
