Sour cherry chocolate jam with chili

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 kg sour cherries, pitted
  • 400 g dark chocolate coating
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 2 Plus 1
  • 2 ½ small chili peppers, very hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Mix the pitted sour cherries with the gelling sugar. Remove the seeds from the chili and cut them into very small cubes, then add them to the cherries. Roughly chop the chocolate coating. Now boil the sour cherry mixture for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly, otherwise the chocolate will melt too much. Only when the jam has cooled slightly should you carefully fold in the chocolate coating and immediately pour it into prepared twist-off jars. I got 11.5 jars of 230ml each.
