Remove the stems and leaves from the fruit and pit the cherries. Chop the strawberries and cherries into small pieces and place them in a large saucepan with the serviceberries and preserving sugar. Pour the jam while still hot into rinsed jars and seal with twist-off lids. Turn the jars upside down while still hot and let them cool. The quantities given are based on pre-prepared fruit. If desired, you can also mix in a little vanilla sugar.
