Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 1 bunch peppermint
  • 1 piece(s) ginger root
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Wash and hull the strawberries and place them in a saucepan with the juice of one lemon, the finely chopped peppermint, and the peeled and chopped ginger. Stir in the gelling sugar and let stand for 1-2 hours. Bring the mixture to a boil in a saucepan, blend briefly, and simmer for 4 minutes while stirring. Pour the jam into the jars, screw on the lids, and turn the jars upside down for 4 minutes. This keeps for years, making it ideal as a gift and a fresh summer treat. Tip: Rinse the jam jars with hot water before filling to prevent them from bursting due to temperature fluctuations.
