Homemade vanilla sugar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 vanilla pods, scraped
  • 400 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

inexpensive and simple, not artificial

Vanilla sugar is easy to make yourself, as you can use up leftover vanilla pods that you’ve scraped out. Simply fill a container halfway with sugar, add the vanilla pods, and cover with the remaining sugar. Seal tightly and let it sit for a few days until the aroma has spread. You can leave the pods in. Use it just like any other vanilla sugar. It will keep for a long time if it’s tightly sealed. The sugar may harden over time, but just shake the container a little harder, and it’ll be fine again.
