  • 2 eggs
  • 750 ml vegetable oil for frying
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • e.g. cranberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

With cranberries for dipping

Whisk the eggs. Cut the Camembert into bite-sized cubes. Coat the cheese cubes twice in the egg and breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Test the temperature with a skewer: If the oil is hot enough, small bubbles will appear. Now add the cheese cubes in batches to the hot oil for about 30 seconds and fry until golden brown. Drain on a wire rack lined with kitchen paper. Let cool briefly and enjoy while still warm with a dollop of cranberries.
