Fluffy waffles, completely without butter and sugar! Low in calories, makes about 12-13 waffles

Simply mix all ingredients with a hand mixer. I always start with the wet ingredients and then add the flour and baking powder at the end. This recipe makes about 13 waffles (thick heart-shaped waffles) – so a whole heart-shaped waffle only has about 120 calories for me. At my birthday brunch, I served these waffles and a “traditional” batter with lots of butter and sugar, and didn’t mention the “fat difference.” The vanilla quark batter was a huge hit and was eaten up much faster than the regular batter. When I then mentioned that there was neither butter nor sugar in the batter, everyone was very surprised and delighted!
