Cucumber salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s), preferably farmer’s cucumbers, number according to size
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 shots of balsamic vinegar, white
  • 2 shots of cream
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the cucumber and slice it thinly. Add salt and sugar (about 1 level teaspoon, depending on the size of the cucumber), knead it briefly into the cucumbers, let it stand for about 5 minutes, and then strain off the juice. Wash and slice the tomato, and finely slice the spring onion. Add both to the cucumbers. Season with balsamic vinegar and cream, pepper, and add more salt or sugar if desired (depending on the balsamic vinegar, depending on how sweet it is). If you like, sprinkle with dill. Tastes absolutely delicious as a side dish to pasta or meat dishes, especially on hot summer days!
