Marinated beef steaks for the grill

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 large steak(s) , beef
  • 300 ml red wine, dry, e.g. Württemberger
  • 4 sprigs rosemary
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 8 hours 20 minutes

Wash and dry the meat thoroughly. Quarter the garlic and thinly slice the onions. Place everything except the pepper in a lidded plastic bowl or a freezer bag and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate and let it marinate overnight or for half a day. You won’t taste the vinegar at all, but it will make the meat very tender. About 45 minutes before placing the meat on the hot grill or in a hot pan, remove it from the refrigerator and let it drain; this will ensure it cooks more evenly. Season the grilled meat with pepper and salt.
