Applesauce and yogurt dessert

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tbsp sugar, brown
  • Cinnamon powder
  • e.g. lemon juice
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • Brown sugar for sprinkling
  • possibly water, as needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and dice the apples, then bring to a boil with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice, adding a little water if necessary. When the apples are soft (this varies from variety to variety), puree them and let them cool slightly. Pour a layer of yogurt into two glasses, then a layer of applesauce, then finish with a layer of yogurt. Sprinkle with a little brown sugar and cinnamon, and chill for 1 hour. Note: It’s really quick to make if you take the applesauce out of the jar. My daughter loves this dessert, and it’s only slightly sweetened this way.
