Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 schnitzels (chicken, turkey or pork)
- 500 g gyros meat or kebab meat
- 250 ml hollandaise sauce
- 1 egg(s)
- e.g. breadcrumbs
- n. B. Flour
- n. B. Grated cheese for gratin
- n. B. Salt and pepper from the mill
- e.g. fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper, then coat in flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Brown in a pan and keep warm in the oven. Briefly brown the gyro in the same pan and place it on top of the schnitzels. Pour over the hollandaise sauce and scatter the grated cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Serve with fries and salad.
