Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g rice
  • 8 fish fillets (matjes fillets)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 200 g beetroot, diced
  • 5 gherkins, diced
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 125 g Miracle Whip, or similar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 15 minutes

Prepare rice according to package instructions. Drizzle herring with lemon juice and cut into bite-sized pieces. Add beets, gherkins, apples, onion, and rice. Mix with Miracle Whip and season gently with salt and pepper.
