Pasta casserole with tomato cream sauce, ham and cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta
  • 300 g cooked ham
  • 1 can tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 1 ½ tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 pinch(s) lovage
  • 1 pinch(s) thyme
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water. Dice the ham. Mix the passata with the eggs and cream. Crush the garlic clove and add it. Season the sauce with oregano, basil, lovage, thyme, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover the bottom of a baking dish with one-third of the cooked pasta, then add half of the ham cubes and half of the sauce. Repeat the process. Finally, spread the remaining pasta and sprinkle with cheese. Bake the casserole in the oven at 170°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
