Salad of fresh peaches

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 peach(s), ripe
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar (with real vanilla)
  • 2 tbsp passion fruit syrup
  • 2 tbsp cherry brandy

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

Peel the skin from the peaches. This only works if the peaches are truly ripe. Otherwise, place them in boiling water for 10-15 seconds before halving them; the skin will peel off. Then halve and cut into small pieces. Add the syrup, vanilla sugar (not vanilla sugar), lemon juice, and kirsch, mix thoroughly, and let stand for 2-3 hours. Stir occasionally during this time. It also tastes great on vanilla ice cream.
