Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large pears, ripe
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar, fine

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 24 minutes

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Blanch the pears in boiling water for 1 minute, remove, and rinse with cold water. Peel the skin, quarter the pears, and remove the cores. Divide the pear quarters among four small ovenproof dishes. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the pears, and drizzle with the sour cream, then sprinkle with the caster sugar. Bake on the top rack for 3-4 minutes until the sugar is caramelized. Serve immediately, but it’s also delicious cold.
