Pancakes with quark and cherries from a jar

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 ml milk
  • 160 g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g quark
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 jar of pitted cherries
  • 4 tbsp, leveled oil or vegetable fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a main meal especially appreciated by children

Combine the milk, flour, and eggs in a bowl and whisk vigorously. The mixture should be thick. Add a little more flour if desired. Now stir the quark into the batter and add salt. Drain the cherries in a sieve. Heat a pan with a little fat, add 2 ladles of batter per pancake. Immediately top with cherries. Cook over low heat until the batter has visibly set between the cherries. Sprinkle the pancakes with sugar, increase the heat considerably, turn over, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
