Grandma's goulash with noodles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef, for braising
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Paprika powder
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • n. B. water
  • n. B. cornstarch
  • 500 g pasta

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut the meat into pieces. Heat the fat in a medium-sized saucepan. Add the meat and fry until light brown. Add the diced onion. When the onions are lightly browned, remove the pan from the heat, add paprika, and fill with water until the meat is lightly covered. Season with pepper and salt and return the pan to the heat. Simmer the goulash for about 1 hour, then thicken with cornstarch until creamy and season again. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Serve the goulash with pasta. Tastes just like Grandma used to make!
