Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • ¼ liter milk or sweet cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • breadcrumbs
  • some butter
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Remove the crust from the white bread and soak it in milk or sweet cream. Beat the egg and brush the slices with it. Coat in breadcrumbs. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the slices. Serve sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. Tip: This popular dessert also tastes delicious with applesauce or jam instead of sugar and cinnamon.
