Sweet semolina dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark, low-fat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 30 g semolina
  • 30 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • Sugar
  • Sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix the quark, egg, vanilla sugar, semolina, and flour. Roll everything up in cling film and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Cut the roll into slices, coat the slices in flour, and shape into dumplings. Boil 3-4 liters of salted water and add the dumplings. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning once. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside in a bowl to rest. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan and fry the breadcrumbs for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with sugar and sour cream. Serve as a sweet main course or in smaller quantities as a dessert.
