Lime chili ice cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 limes, untreated
  • 2 chili peppers, red
  • 250 g natural yogurt
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • possibly pistachios, chopped, unsalted

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

light, fresh dessert, great in summer, perfect in winter after a heavy meal

Wash the limes in hot water, pat dry, finely grate the zest, and squeeze out the juice. Halve the chili peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds, and dice very finely (!) (this recipe is based on two small Thai chilies). Mix the yogurt with the sour cream, chili cubes, powdered sugar, lime juice, and lime zest until well combined. Pour the mixture into small glasses and place in the freezer. Remove the glasses 15 minutes before serving and sprinkle with chopped pistachios, if desired.
