Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 800 g minced meat, mixed
- 3 large eggs
- 500 g medium-aged Gouda
- 1 bunch of soup vegetables
- 1 tsp, heaped spice(s) (meatloaf seasoning)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch(s) of pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 200 g bacon (breakfast bacon)
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes
Knead the ground beef with 1 egg, meatloaf seasoning, salt, pepper, and oregano. Boil and peel 2 eggs. Grate some Gouda, dice the remaining Gouda. Clean and dice the soup vegetables and add them to the ground beef mixture along with the diced Gouda. Knead the dough well. Form a lattice out of some of the bacon slices and spread half of the meat mixture on it. Place the two eggs on top and tuck them under the other half of the ground beef mixture. Finally, spread the remaining bacon on top to form a lattice. Preheat the oven to 180°C – 200°C fan/convection oven and bake the ground beef for 1 hour. Spread the grated Gouda over the meat and bake everything for 10-20 minutes.
