Grandpa's Curry Pan

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g turkey schnitzel or pork schnitzel
  • 150 g pineapple (can)
  • 50 ml pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 2 onions
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 3 tsp curry powder (less if needed)
  • possibly sauce thickener to thicken

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into strips. Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice. If desired, cut the pineapple into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onions. Fry the onions in hot olive oil in a pan until golden brown, then add the meat strips and fry over high heat. Add the pineapple pieces and fry until golden brown. Pour in 100 ml of cream and 50 ml of pineapple juice. Stir in the curry powder and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt and pepper and thicken slightly with a sauce thickener if desired. Serve hot. Rice goes wonderfully with it.
