Breakfast porridge

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 140 g oat flakes
  • 25 g cranberries, plums or apricots of your choice, dried
  • 25 g desiccated coconut
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 1 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp seeds of your choice (pumpkin, sunflower, pine nuts)
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 apple
  • some fruit (berries, banana, etc.) for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan, then add the 140g of oats and bring to a boil while stirring. Turn off the heat and let the porridge swell for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, wash, quarter, and core the apple. Then finely grate it and stir it into the porridge. Mix the dry ingredients, such as 1 tablespoon of oats, dried fruit, and desiccated coconut, and stir them into the porridge. I usually add one or two teaspoons of honey. This recipe makes enough for two generous portions for me.
