Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g pork belly, sliced
- 500 g apples, sour, peeled, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp, heaped thyme, dried
- 4 large onions, cut into thin rings
- some clarified butter
- some butter
- salt and pepper

Danish recipe
Brown the meat slices on both sides in a pan with a little clarified butter, then set aside. Add a little more butter to the frying fat and sauté the apple slices for a few minutes. Transfer these to a baking dish. Spread the meat on top and sprinkle with salt, a little pepper, and the thyme. Sauté the onion slices with a little butter in the same pan for a few minutes and add a little salt. Then scatter them over the meat. Cook in the oven preheated to 250ºC on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. If the onions are getting too brown, cover with aluminum foil. I like to serve this with boiled potatoes or whole-grain bread.
