Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 beef fillet(s) from the middle (600 g)
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ lemon(s), the juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp coriander, medium-finely ground
- 1 tsp pepper (Szechuan pepper), medium-fine ground
- 1 tbsp dried herbs of Provence
- some oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 50 minutes
Fill a 3-liter freezer bag with the ingredients, then add the beef fillet in one piece. Seal the bag and mix the contents thoroughly, then refrigerate overnight. Preheat the oven to 150°C. Heat a little oil in a pan and sear the fillet, leaving the liquid contents of the bag, on all sides for about 2 minutes. Place the fillet in an ovenproof dish in the oven (150°C) for 40 minutes. Slice the fillet and arrange on a plate. This is enough for a meal for 4 people. I recommend serving it with diced potatoes cooked in broth and green beans. The plum/fig sauce in my recipes works well as a sauce.
