Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g butter, soft or margarine
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp baking cocoa or cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 50 g chocolate, white or dark, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

makes about 9 pieces

Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Cream the butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the salt and egg. Combine the flour and baking powder. Sift the cocoa powder over the chocolate to eliminate lumps. Mix everything together and gradually stir it into the batter along with the milk. Cut the white or dark chocolate into 1/2 cm cubes and stir into the batter. Remove 18 baking cups from the package. Stack two inside each other and fill with batter using a tablespoon. Do not smooth the mixture or press it against the edges to ensure it retains its shape. Place on the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes (use a toothpick to test the consistency). Tip: This recipe is easy to reverse. Simply use cornstarch instead of cocoa powder and dark chocolate instead of white. Super simple and delicious muffins. Anyone can make them!
