Apricot marzipan jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g apricots, cleaned and pitted
  • 150 g marzipan paste
  • 150 g apples, peeled, pitted
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 900 g gelling sugar 1:1
  • possibly apricot liqueur

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

simple, quick, heavenly sweet

Cut the apricots, apples, and raw marzipan into small pieces. Place the ingredients in a large saucepan. Add the lemon juice and gelling sugar, mix thoroughly, and cover. Let stand and infuse for at least 1 hour. Bring to a boil while stirring. Remove from the heat and puree with a hand blender, if desired. Return to the heat and simmer gently for about 6-7 minutes while stirring. Add apricot brandy or liqueur, if desired. Once the gelling test is positive, pour the mixture into jars while still hot, seal, and leave the jars in place until cool.
