Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 kg pear(s), ripe to overripe, diced
- 175 ml passion fruit syrup
- 2 lemon(s), the juice
- 2 bags of citric acid
- 1 kg gelling sugar (2:1)
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 9 hours 10 minutes
Jam from overripe pears
Mix the peeled and diced pears (I slice them with a small vegetable cutter) with the other ingredients and let stand overnight, covered. Stir once or twice to dissolve the sugar. The next day, cook as usual and fill into twist-off jars.
