Puff pastry apple roses

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 apples, red
  • 3 tbsp apricot jam
  • 2 rolls (to taste ätter dough, fresh
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the apples, halve them, and core them. Slice them into thin slices; the slices should be flexible. Roll out the puff pastry on a work surface. From the long side, cut each roll into 6 equal-width strips and spread a thin layer of jam on each strip. Cover the top half of the strip with apple slices, so that the red skin protrudes above the strip like an arch. Arrange the apples overlapping like roof tiles. Mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle the apples with it. Fold the bottom half of the puff pastry over the apples so that only the upper arches are visible and roll the strip up to form a rose. Repeat this process with all the pastry strips. Grease muffin tins if necessary and place the puff pastry roses in the tin. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the pastry is light golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar.
