  • 1 lime(s), untreated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

non-alcoholic hot drink – for the whole family

Fill a tea strainer with 2 tablespoons of the “Winter Dream” fruit tea blend (I always buy it loose from a tea shop), pour boiling water over it, and let it steep for 10 minutes. Pour the apple juice, grape juice, and orange juice into a tall saucepan along with the tea and honey. Heat to 70°C with the slit vanilla pod, cinnamon stick, star anise, and mulled wine spice. Let the punch stand on the stove for about 10 minutes on low heat; do not allow it to boil. In the meantime, thinly slice the untreated lime and orange, then quarter them. Wash and peel the citrus fruits thoroughly beforehand. Remove the pan from the heat and discard the preserved spices. Add the lime and orange quarters to the punch and garnish with a little cardamom, if desired. The perfect hot drink for cold winter days. Suitable for the whole family, as it tastes wonderful even without added alcohol and warms you from the inside!
