Baked apple liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 apples
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 star anise
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • ½ liter of grain
  • ½ liter cloudy apple juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 14 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 14 days 35 minutes

Wash, dry, and quarter the apples. Place the apples in an ovenproof dish, pour honey over them, and bake at 200°C (400°F) for approximately 15-20 minutes. Place the baked apples in a sealable jar. Add a split vanilla pod, cinnamon stick, star anise, and brown sugar, and pour the corn syrup over everything. Store the liqueur in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for two weeks. Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar. After two weeks, pour the entire liqueur mixture into a saucepan and pour over the apple juice. Bring everything to a boil briefly. Strain the liqueur to remove any suspended solids and spices, and bottle the still-warm liqueur.
