Peas – ham – cream – sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g peas, frozen
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 150 g ham, cooked
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 1 tbsp sauce thickener, light
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • basil, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pasta sauce

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the ham into small pieces. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onion and garlic. Add the ham and peas and sauté for a few minutes. Grate the cheese and stir in the cream. Melt over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent the cheese from sticking. Stir in the sauce thickener and season to taste with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and basil.
