Super-quick lentil stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can Lentils with soup vegetables
  • 1 slice(s) of dried meat, approx. 150 g
  • 2 m.-sized potatoes, mainly waxy
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 2 tsp, heaped stock, granulated
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Trim the carrots and also cut into small pieces. Dice the jerked beef into small pieces. Fry the jerked beef until slightly crispy, then add the contents of the can of lentils. Add the potato and carrot pieces and simmer until the potatoes and carrots are nicely cooked, but not too soft. Season to taste with vinegar, sugar, granulated stock, and mustard. Tastes great with knackwurst or beef sausage; the sausage is best reheated in a stew.
