Curry fried fish with coriander

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter (ghee)
  • 4 fish fillets, white
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp coriander, ground
  • 2 tsp cumin, ground
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 125 ml water
  • some coriander leaves, freshly chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Fry the fish in ghee for about 1 minute on each side, then remove from the pan. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and fry until golden brown. Add the coriander, cumin, turmeric, and chili, and fry briefly while stirring. Add the tomato paste and water, simmer for 2 minutes, then return the fish to the pan and coat well with the mixture. Heat everything through and add the fresh coriander just before the end of the cooking time. Serve with rice or flatbread. Tip: Any firm fish fillet is suitable for this dish, but you can also use schnitzel instead.
