Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 2 onions
  • 2 packs of cheese (processed cheese slices, Allgäu or Emmental)
  • 1 pack of cheese (processed cheese slices, toast or cheddar)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Sauce thickener (Mondamin), white

quick recipe for those in a hurry

Peel the onions and dice them along with the ham. Fry them in a pan with heated oil. Pour the milk into a saucepan and melt the cheese slices (add more to taste) over low heat. Then add the onions and ham and bring to a boil. Stir frequently, otherwise the milk will burn. Thicken the sauce with Mondamin if necessary. This sauce goes best with spaghetti, tortellini, penne, and tagliatelle.
