Spinach sauce

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1,400 g spinach (frozen)
  • 2 cups cream cheese (herbs)
  • 250 g cream
  • 2 onions, finely diced
  • Vegetable broth, instant
  • 650 g pasta (e.g. spaghetti, spirelli etc.)
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

With pasta or potatoes

Sauté the onions in a little oil until translucent. Add the spinach and a few tablespoons of water. Thaw everything slowly and gently to prevent burning. Once everything is thawed, add the cream cheese first, then the cream. Season with vegetable stock, pepper, and nutmeg. This amount is enough for about 650 g of pasta (raw weight).
